The weather has been perfect for traveling the past two
days. With the better weather, came
smoother roads, and the rattle hasn’t come back. We’re still on the Alaskan Highway and
heading southeast toward Edmonton, Alberta.
We traveled about 360 miles today which started out in the Yukon
Province, traveled to British Columbia, and now we’re in the Yukon Province
again. The highway probably follows the
passes. It was sunny; but the picture
above looks cloudy. There was a haze in
the mountains that showed the different levels of mountain ranges in different
shades of blue. Almost a mystical
feeling.
The mountains are still around; but they are gradually
starting to fade as we head southeast.
More of the flowing rivers and streams.
We have to go through Watson Lake again to make our way
east. We had to check and see if our
sign was still there, along with the other 72,000 signs on the posts. We’re camping tonight at Watson Lake and will
be heading out for Fort Nelson in
British Columbia in the morning.
More of the flowing rivers and streams.
More of the lakes and ponds.
Saw a few black bear along the way. This one was on the side of the rode and was
not frightened by our presence. He even
stood up on his hind legs…maybe we should be frightened!
British Columbia in the morning.
