Rain, Sunshine, Rain

A great gift given to us & for our motor home
For two people who were hesitant about leaving Wisconsin in May, we sure were up early this morning...ready to head out.  Maybe it was due to the weather changing overnight, clouds rolling in bringing those spring showers. With one last look back, we headed westward.  By the time we crossed the Mississippi River, the sun was shining as we entered Minnesota and raining again as we crossed into South Dakota.  We have been this route many times; but we still appreciate the view...from bluffs to plains to prairies.  We do try to find some different and unusual points of interest along the way that we may have missed on previous trips. I attached a few that caught my attention.
Part of the dam as we crossed the Mississippi. The river is high!

An old barn that I can't resist keeping it's memories alive.

What the hell is this?  I'm calling the FBI!

I recognize these train cars...they carry sand. Probably some of the sand from the bluff they torn down near our home!

These sculptures are huge along I90!  The horse is new since we came through the last time.

Flooding is still going on along the rivers in all three states.
Camping in Mitchell, SD tonight. Love this kind of camping...in our own bed, nice & warm, everything's dry... even though it raining outside, electricity & water and WiFi fulfilling our addictions.
