"To the Moon Sue!" (Day 6)

We went to a place in Idaho called "Craters of the Moon."  It was the location where the astronauts in 1969 trained for their moon landing.  Actually the vast volume of lava was formed from fissures known as the Great Rift that extends 52 miles. They said lava has flowed as recent as 2,000 years ago.  I don't know how anyone would be able to walk on something like this. To me...the idea of the moon made of cheese is more inviting than this hard, molten lava.
Real, Live Cowboys on their horses rounding up the cattle to load on the trailers to take to the slaughter houses so we can have steaks and hamburgers for dinner.  "Where's the beef?
Well...here's where it begins.

Stayed in Mountain Home, ID in a campground of all campgrounds.  It was the Hilton of campgrounds!  Doesn't compare to a campsite in the middle of the forest;  but if you want conveniences...this was it!
